Let us help your child ACHIEVE Behavioral Success!
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientifically validated therapeutic approach to improving the lives of individuals with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (IDD) (i.e., Autism) and families of children with IDD. Master's level Behavior Analysts work with families to identify behaviors of concern and areas for growth and develop treatment plans.
ABA is best known for its application in the treatment of Autism. ABA focuses on building skills that help an individual be more successful in their environment. See our "Services" tab for more information about different services ACHIEVE can provide.
Research has shown that ABA therapy provides varying benefits to children and adults of all ages, no matter how early they begin treatment.
While ABA is used in many different areas, from brain injuries and elder care, to business management and behavioral medicine, it is mostly used to help children with autism. ABA therapy is essential to teach children to effectively communicate and lead more independent lives. Whether a child has little or no language skills, difficulty with self-care, self-stimulates (flapping, spinning, rocking, etc.), or exhibits aggressive or dangerous behaviors, ABA therapy is customized to address each child’s specific needs to optimize the best outcomes. ABA requires a team approach, where the behavior therapist, BCBA, caregivers, and surrounding community interact cooperatively to create and enact plans to meet the child’s changing needs from infancy to adulthood.
BCBAs' are masters level clinicians who work with you and your family to identify behaviors of concern and areas for growth and develop individualized treatment plans. BCBAs develop treatment plans, provide parent training, and work with the rest of the clinical team to provide your child with the best treatment possible.
Our RBTs' work one-on-one with your child to help them achieve their goals. They implement treatment plans and are overseen regularly by the BCBA.
Both BCBAs and RBTs are credentialed through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). They adhere to the ethical standards set forth by the board.
ACHIEVE has an excellent team of BCBAs and RBTs. To meet our staff, see the "Meet our Staff" tab above or check us out on Facebook or Instagram.
